I am currently floating around New York. I recently signed a modeling contract with FORD Models and that is what mainly brings me here- I came to meet some people, go to some castings, and see what this New York Fashion Week thing is all about. This whole modeling thing is still weird to me. I am a photographer by trade- it is what I love to do and what I currently do for a living, but at the end of the day I just love to create. Whether that is behind the camera, or in front of it. I am just using modeling as another opportunity to meet some rad people and do some rad things- nothing more or nothing less. When all is said and done, even after the modeling phases out, and the money from photography dries up, I will still be out here traveling and shooting photos because it is what I love- and that shit never dies.

I am getting as creative as I can here though, and have been doing a fair bit of shooting and adventuring. It has been one hell of a ride so far. I flew into my home state of Maryland, saw some family, got some waves, and then decided to drive up to New York so that I could bring along some surfboards with me. I think I made the right call, as this past Monday I scored the best surf I have had in recent memory, with some of my best friends. I surfed my brains out for over 7 hours- leaving me about as satisifed as one can be from a surf session, and leaving me with nothing but the hunger to make the most out of the my remaining time here.  I don't currently have a plane ticket home to Los Angeles, CA- but I should be wandering around this concrete paradise for at least another 10-14 days.
